Viking Yachts recently splashed its first open bridge 92, and she’s a veritable feast for the eyes. The vessel features a massive tuna tower by Palm Beach Towers that spans nearly 45 feet above the waterline. And you can definitely put out a spread of lures with the 55-foot, five-spreader, hydraulically controlled Bigg Rigg outriggers by Rupp.
The open bridge, which is installed without any exposed fasteners spans 37 feet from the forward eyebrow to the aft rail. An inside beam of 14.5 feet abounds with space and features for maximum purpose and comfort. The center console helm is outfitted with custom navigation, communication and entertainment packages installed by Atlantic Marine Electronics. Viking’s proprietary VIPER steering and single-lever electronic controls deliver crisp handling and stimulating response. A centerline cutout in the windshield and a raised helm platform for the operator maximizes visibility underway and provides an unobstructed view of the action in the cockpit. Lounges flank the fiberglass console with banquet seating forward of the helm. Three ladder back helm and companion seats, a top loading freezer, a freshwater sink, a drink box cooler, and a touch screen control head to monitor engine and boat systems are among an extensive lineup of standard features.
The cockpit boasts 238 square feet, plenty of angling room.
The Viking 92 also is available with an enclosed bridge.
