The automated and do-it-yourself nature of this service allows for a very reasonable cost structure.

When you sign up and pay $69.95, you are buying 1 year access to Buoyweather web site and a block of 730 email message credits. Monthly subscribers receive 62 credits per month. This is enough email credits to receive two forecasts a day for a year. Anytime you receive an email, one message credit is deducted from your account. This includes data forecasts, user guide components, buoy reports, NOAA text, and passage forecasts.

What if you don't need the email services and only want the web site access? You do not have to use the email. Your account expires in one year.

What if you want four forecast emails per day? The emails will stop coming in 6 months when the credits run out. You can purchase additional blocks of email credits by contacting Customer Service. Your account will still remain active for the full year.

What if your company owns four fishing vessels and they each need a daily forecast? From a single account, forecasts can be sent to any number of email address's.
